That Is Some Good Stuff

Not even five years went by prior to Lowrance Electronics shocking and wowing the masses once more. In 1996, Lowrance astonished them with a 12 channel hand-held GPS unit. The best thing was the cost; well beneath $200. By the following year Lowrance was carrying GPS to new levels with a hand-held scaled GPS aviation units. Complete with full mapping capabilities, this bad boy was a first in the industry. Lowrance also brought in GPS mapping cartridges, making it likely to see all lakes, ponds, and rivers in the continental United States. More hand held GPS accessories and mapping software products were released in years following.
